She came in wearing an airy black blouse and oh-so-stylish patterned puffy shorts paired with light suede platform ankle boots. A black blazer, bold triangular necklace and piercing grey blue eyes. This girl was already interesting. There's a reason why Lindsay Rempel is Calgary's next big personality! Her bubbly enthusiasm and energetic presentation only makes her work more desirable. We were already blown away by her beautiful paintings that she turns into various textile pieces, like tea towels, cushion covers, scarves, baby blankets, linens and more, but if you experience Lindsay first hand like we did, you'd fall in forever-love! Her husband Jeff and two children live in Okotoks, AB. When I first met Jeff, he told me a story about Lindsay that took my respect for her to a WHOLE new level!
Back when Lindsay and Jeff had their second child, Jeff came home from work one day and found Lindsay bouncing their fussy baby boy in a baby carrier on one side, telling a story to her daughter on the other side, all whilst painting a canvas BEHIND her with her LEFT HAND! Lindsay is NOT left handed, haha! He said she had begun the most stunning landscape he had seen thus far in her painting career. This was when he knew she HAD to pursue her talent full time. We are very honoured to feature some of Lindsay's pieces in the windows of our showroom, and even more excited to carry exclusive items JUST FOR US! To see her work, stop by our showroom, visit our e-store, or check out her website at www.lrempelart.com.
