After lengthy collaboration with our client, we worked within the parameters of our clients wishes and began the process of collecting ideas and site planning. The floor plate was the most important element in the project, to provide intimacy and yet function. We had the benefit of a large floor plate to work with, as the existing ensuite was large with many cut-up divisions with his and hers ensuites. We presented to our client, 5 floorpans that each offered the functionality of the space. After our clients consideration, the best floor plate resembled a T- shaped division of space providing three clear areas of function.
