Project Details
We were engaged to transform a master bedroom and ensuite into a functional, luxurious space suitable for long-term residency, with an open layout, and premium materials. The existing “his and hers” closets and vanities created division, so the design prioritized function with classic, elegant fixtures and a floor plan that accommodates large, functional closets, vanity, and wet rooms.
We presented a materials palette featuring Perla Venata Quartzite, kit-kat onyx, antique brass, and rift-cut oak to harmonize with the home's existing features. The process was a collaborative effort with the client, starting from research and concept generation to a prioritized features list, color palette, materials, and layout options focused on function, safety, and longevity.

After evaluating templates, the client selected the one that best fulfilled all requirements. We then partnered with Empire Custom Homes, whose execution, quality of workmanship, and oversight aligned with the client’s expectations. Our team maintained seamless communication, collaborative problem-solving, and strict respect for the living space during construction, ensuring cleanliness and protection throughout.

My husband and I worked extensively with Robert and his partner, Evalina in redecorating and furnishing our new home. We really enjoyed working with them; great expertise and imagination. It began with their extensive time and effort in helping us with an excellent visual and design plan. We loved the gorgeous wall paint, carpets, curtains, furniture, lamps, dishes and towels that they selected for the design. The overall impact of their visual sophistication is stunningly beautiful. The brands they carry in all the aforementioned areas are of excellent quality, style and range. Evalina has wonderful skills with fabrics, we commissioned her on a number of custom cushions as well as drapes and valences, all of which more than met our expectations.

SUPER HELPFUL! We’ve been working with Robert & Evalina for over 5 years on 2 different projects. We’ve consistently found them to be helpful, professional, and just so good at putting things together. Multiple visits to our home, FaceTime calls, texts and emails … they've been nothing but helpful and have the best taste! I know a couple of suppliers of theirs have been difficult over the pandemic, but Robert steered us through as best he could and we landed in a great spot. Unlike other designers, they don’t gouge us on pricing - this is hugely noticeable and means we can spend way more of our money on product rather than their fees.
